Today I get to share a few sneak peeks from Papertrey Ink's October 2011 release.
This first card is inspired by a warm desert sunset...I imagine that the wise men would have experienced that during their travels.
I know this isn't even close to traditional Christmas colors but it is fun to mix it up and this color scheme sets a nostalgic feel for me.
The circular focal image is from Star of Wonder. A really great nativity based set by Dawn McVey. It has really lovely sentiments in addition to the three circle images included. Nativity Silhouettes Additions has this camel and the palm trees as well as the sentiment shown on this card. Are you getting that desert feel? Notice the "sand dunes"? That's one of the "snow drift" dies that you might have already seen. It's so nice to not have to try to replicate the perfect curve... now the die does all of the thinking for me!
Speaking of dies...Have you seen the new Gift Card Greetings die that I designed? I'm so excited about this! (Nichole introduced it yesterday HERE.) It's so easy to use and is already coming in handy. I give a lot of gift cards and am always trying to figure out a way to make them feel more personal. I'm just over the moon about how well this die turned out! Here is a holder using the sheep from Nativity Silhouettes. They are so darling!
(Click on any of these images to see them in more detail.)
The heart is from Just for You and the leaves are from the new Faith & Hopes set.
I really wanted to have the inside be able to be stamped easily when I thought of this die. It's functional and easy to stamp. I used the Inside & Out: Baby sentiments for the front and inside.
I have a friend who is about ready to have a baby. I'm excited to have this ready to go... just waiting for that gift card!
Here is one with another focal circle from Star of Wonder. Simple, yes... but simple really is OK!
I used the die to die cut the pattern paper to line the inside flap. The sentiment is from Christmas Blessings.
Here's another one using more of the Nativity Silhouettes. Straight and simple stamping.
I can mass produce these quite easily too. I'm planning on giving several simply stamped gift card holders this Christmas.
The sentiment says "May your Christmas be blessed"... that's from the Star of Wonder set and I love it!
This last card uses more images from Nativity Silhouettes and Star of Wonder.
I used Copic Markers with this one as well as the first card I shared to color in the focal circles.
It's a little more artsy than I usually create but I was going for the glowing effect of the baby and around the star.
Well, that's it for all my projects for today. I hope you've gotten to know these sets and dies a little more!
Nichole has more sneak peeks using these sets on her blog too. Dawn,Maile, Tiffany, Heather, Melissa, and Beth also should have peeks!
Let me know if you have any questions. I'll answer them in the comment section of this post.
Thanks for poppying by friends!

Your Star of Wonder card is beautiful! I am glad to see the dies, too. All of your gift card holdes are very nice, as well. I like your blue Glory to God card. Very nice scene. The bling reminds me of the stars. :)
