I hope you are all having a wonderful day! Today I get to share sneak peeks of two really lovely Papertrey Ink sets...Beautiful Blessings and Wildflower Garden! (These sets will be available starting May 15th.)
Let's get right to it! This first card uses the broad leafy image from Heather's new set, Wildflower Garden.
I decided to do some double and triple stamping on these. You might be asking what I mean by that... so here goes. I stamped ALL of the leaf images in Ripe Avocado on Fresh Linen cardstock first. Next I stamped them all in Fresh Snow ink right over the first image. I then used my finger to smudge and blend all of the white ink in. Next I stamped the 2nd and 4th image again with white and smudged it again. The results, as you can see, are two frosted looking plant images... slightly different in hue. Fun huh! I think it's cool how the 2nd stamping makes the images even a little with a blue tint.
You can see it a little better in this close up. I also used a Stardust Jelly Roll pen with stipple some highlights and shine onto the tips. I lined the layer with Ocean Tides cardstock to help pull the blue out a little.
This next card is one I created using ink cubes to color the different segments of an image from Wildflower Garden.
Raspberry Fizz and Ripe Avocado were the colors I used. This images really reminds me of Fireweed.... there is a lot of that in Alaska, where I grew up.
I thought that this sentiment from Beautiful Blessings was lovely too. It was also fun to do some extra stitching on this card. Simple and Elegant.
Lastly...a bright and cheery card for some someone that might need a smile during a trial.I decided that a rainbow image would be a great pairing with this because of the biblical symbolism of promise.
I used Copic Markers to color in the rainbow. The little cloud is die cut from Vintage Cream felt.
Well, I hope you've enjoyed today's sneak peek using Beautiful Blessings and Wildflower Garden. I really had fun creating with them and even made some extras for later. They are two great sets! Can you think of ways you would use these images? I can't wait to see what people create with them.
