Spring is in the air here in Western Washington. There is actually sunshine beaming into my windows. I love it! It's short lived right now, for the next few days at least, but there are already bees buzzing in my back yard as the spring tulips pop up. May is here and that means, besides tulips and rain puddles, that it's Papertrey Ink Senior DT challenge time! And speaking of Bees... we are revisiting the Honey Bees stamp set!
I've been creating with a lot of bright colors lately so I decided to challenge myself to use more pastel tones. Here's what I came up with.
The little flowers are just darling in this set. I love that you can layer them too.
I used A Little Argyle and Flower Garden Sentiments as well.
The bee's were stamped in Lemon tart and Smokey Shadow. I lined them with a glue pen and sprinkled them with glitter. This one here is also trimmed so that it's wing pops out to lay over the ribbon. It really adds so much more dimension.
You can see that I also used the Beautiful Blooms and Limitless Layers 1 3/4 dies here as well as the Labels Basic stamp set.
I had so much fun breaking my routine and playing with this soft colors... especially with such a beautiful stamp set!
Here are the other Sr. DT links to see what's buzzing on their blogs with this set...
Also... here is my post using Honey Bees for the first time!---> HERE. There is a home project that I made there... that still hangs by my door!
Thanks for poppying by friends!

I love your flowery background! I am in BC, so we're having the same non-spring as you are... I hope to see the back end of this weather soon!! :)

I so enjoy this color combo; there's just something about that robin's egg blue that gets me everytime! Pretty detail on the wings too!

Creative, as usual; your art inspires me. I'm in Western WA also, and we are beekeepers (one of the reasons we call our business Sweetlife Farm). The bee image you are using looks more like a nice fat bumblebee than the slim little honeybees that so enjoyed their time in the brilliantly sunny first day of May!
