It's group post time for the Papertrey InkMarch release! Today we are all creating something using the new Postmarks stamp set.(Available March 15th)
There is something so regal about Postmarks. I was instantly inspired to create a clean and graphic birthday card using this set. I love how it maintains a clean style while touching on a vintage feeling.
I wanted to point out a few things that I did to create this card.
I find that using a unique color combination can really make a card and the stamped images stand out. Also, combining the font images in clusters adds a lot of appeal.
I used the new Sending You die and frame image to create this decorative element.
I stamped the frame image then the postmark, crown and flourish. I added some depth with a C1 Copic Marker. Postmarks is a set full of fun little images to create so many looks!
You can also see how I used that same marker to shade these sweet butterflies.
It really pops them off the card huh.One thing that I like to do after lining the image, creating a shadow, is to use the 0 Blender marker to bleed the line a little. I think it looks more natural that way.
The last element I wanted to share on this card are the little poppy postage stamps. LOVE this poppy image. Surprise? LOL! One of the fun elements about postmarks is the ability to make cute little stamp image with the various icons in the set. There are so many possibilities! I'm really looking forward to playing more with them.
The rest of the team have projects to share too...
I know you will enjoy what they've created. :)They are such amazing designers!
Thank for poppying by friends!

Hi Lisa! This card is so unique! I just love it! ...could be a unisex card which I also like to have in my stash-
I love the little butterflies as a kind of metaphor for air (flight) mail!
Thanks for the idea!
