Welcome back! It's day two for the countdown to the release of my newest POPPYprints stamp set through Papertrey Ink... Larger Than Life! (Both this set and the matching die is available on Nov. 15th.) Can I just say a huge WOW and THANK YOU for all of the wonderful comments and feedback! *WOW*.... THANK YOU!
(Please take the opportunity to click on the photos to make them larger... they are so much prettier that way!)
This first card is monochromatic and has a "fall fields" feeling...you know, that warm brown that takes over when the leaves want to fall off.
I used the mutli-leaf image to stamp the background in Dark Chocolate and Haystack colored ink. I haven't used Fresh Linen a ton since it was released so I tried it for this card. I love the warmth that resulted from using it.
I could have gone a step further and added a few little white flowers amongst the leaves... but I felt that the fall feeling would be gone if I went that direction.
Next is a card using the flower from Larger Than Life and its parent set, Life.
This really shows the scale difference between the two flowers!
A great part about designing stamps is the surprises that come when you get a set and start playing with it. I didn't know how easy it would be to ink the flower head separately so I could stamp multi-colored flowers. *coooool* Not a detail I thought of but I'm grateful that both sets flowers are so easy to ink!
The shadow images are just the images stamped after I stamped the first inked image. I love this effect!
That's all I have to share today. :) I really enjoyed making these cards... I tried a few out of the box (to me) things with the Fresh Linen card's color combo as well as the layering with this last card. I love how new sets can get those creative juices flowing!
Tomorrow I have my favorite Larger Than Life projects to share with you!
Nichole, Alli, Dawn and Heather have more inspiration to share with you; make sure to visit their blogs!

This set is fantastic! I love silhouettes most of all and these are perfect. I can see using them to make a border on my layouts or just as an accent. Practically perfect in every way!
