It's been really fun these past few months to revisit some of the slightly older Papertrey Ink sets for the Senior DT group posts. This month we are revisiting Believe! I love this set... so timeless and classic. I really enjoyed mixing it with some of the newer sets as well as papers that are now available at Papertrey Ink that weren't when it came out.
Here we go!
This first card I created has a bright and bold feel. Festive, like a holiday party that you would have with all your friends and families! I built the idea from the Friends sentiment from the set.
The background is stamped using A Little Argyle in Fresh Snow ink. I then stamped the candy Strip from Background Basics: Christmas and glittered the candy.
The berry cluster is a fun little image in the set. I used a Copic marker to color that. I also used a Red Copic to color the silk ribbon. I love the soft results that don't take away from the glitter and Crystals!
Next is an elegant card showcasing the tree image from Believe.
I'm not a lover of Gold but I was thinking of my dear, departed, Mother-in-law when creating this. Here tree was decorated with vintage, pink ornaments with touches of gold and sparkle. So pretty.
(here are the Copic Markers that I used for this card)
I framed the tree on the Pink Shimmer paper that I had aged a little with a sponge and light brown die ink.
The argyle dashed pattern is stamped in gold too. I also used Score-Tape to create some glitter lines as well as adding glitter to the pink berries in the tree. Oh... and no sentiment on the front is almost unheard of for me... but it's in the inside. It works though... don't you think?
Well, I hope you've gotten a little inspiration from today's post and will dust off your own set! Are you ready for Christmas or the holiday season in general? I've gotten a smidgen of shopping done but have so much more to do! Plus there is some fun treat making in the plans to! *Yum*
