Hello all!
Today is the group post sneak peek for the Papertrey Ink Design Team and we are all creating calendars using Nichole's new Calendar Basics stamp set! I will also be sharing more using Background Basics: Christmas!
I decided to create a Christmas themed December one to share today. There is a printed mini calendar new this month that I used for this as well as the new Calendar Page Die. I used the darling images and sentiments from Calendar Basics to decorate the bitty calendar.
First I stamped the frame image and the decorative image that fits so well in between them. Next I stamped the Sparkle Dot Strip from Background Basics: Christmas. I also stamped, trimmed and glittered the Candy image from the same set to adhere around the frame.
I stamped the text image from Background Basics: Christmas onto the Sugar Plum paper strip. The little mouse from the same set is trimmed then secured over the bow center. Look at that cute little nose with glitter on it!
My original plan was to use some cute, painted clothes pins with magnets to hang this on the fridge. But after receiving the actual die and calendar it didn't work. So I sewed up the side of a page protector and created a simple strip at the top that can be used year round in my kitchen, since I'm going for a Red and Black theme.
The next moth can just be slipped into place with ease. I always seem to need something like this on the fridge and this is so much cuter that one that comes in an ad flyer. Which is actually where I got the magnetic back for this. Here is a photo of the back side. Not pretty but it doesn't need to be huh!
Here is a card using the Calendar Basics set.
Isn't it fun how the little swirl in the set can be added to a sentiment like the one in Holiday Spirits Senitment! The Sugar Plum paper reminds me of Christmas garland. I also used Background Basics: Christmas, adding the candy border.
Next is a little card I created using that same candy strip image from Background Basics: Christmas!
I stamped the image vertically, alternating the colors. Isn't it fun how the sentiment from Signature Greetings goes so well with this image!
Imagine this in Christmas colors now. "Visions of sugar plums danced in their heads" :)
So... the other DT members have goodness to share tonight too. Check it out!

All of your projects are just darling!! I'm glad you shared about doing a monthly calendar and placing it on the frig. I might do that; therefore I just might NEED this set. *Ü* There isn't one of your items today that I like the least...they are all so cute. Great job!

Gosh, I don't know where to start! I love your cards, and the Background Basics Christmas set is a must-have for me (that little mouse is so stinkin' cute!). I'm not usually one to go for the paper packs, but even I have to have the Sugar Plum pack- it's awesome!
