I thought I would share a quick post today to show the card I made with Papertrey Ink's Floral Fusion!
It's a great stamp set... lovely images and sentiments! I was a free set that was given to those who purchased $100 or more at the PTI booth at CHA. :)
I love this rich color combination! Scarlet Jewell, Spring Rain, Spring Moss and Vintage Cream! You should try it if you haven't already!
Another fun thing that I started doing a while back is to stitch the four hole buttons a little differently... sort of making a little flower. (Click photo to see more detail) I can see using this same layout and combination with Life or Beautiful Blooms!
So... I'm home with just Ella and Pepper this week. Alex and Hannah are off to a Stake Pioneer Trek and Chris is on a 35 mile hike with his boy scout troop. I'm getting caught up on organizing their clothes... and separating them so that they have their own room now. That was a lot of work to get the toys sorted out... and clothes moved! It's a leap of faith to let E go solo. She's often referred to as Hurricane Ella...and trust me... she rips it up! Hopefully I'll be able to be more on top of helping her stay organized... crossing my fingers!
Well... gotta get to more clothes sorted. Thanks for poppying by!
Very cute! I love the varied stitching. You are so clever! Good luck with the sorting!

I don't think I would have thought to put Spring Rain with Scarlett Jewel together. Thank you for sharing this because the cool tone just sings with the scarlet! And your little flower stitches in your four hole buttons are cute and a perfect little thoughtful touch! As for the clothes and organization, I can only wish you luck. My kidlets clothes, staying up with what fits them, the couple items I want to save, what I want to upcycle, and what is getting passed on to someone I know or donated to someone in need, seems to be an unending process that I am always trying to stay on top of!! :>

This is so pretty. I love that set and wish I could have gone to CHA. I totally would have spent enough money to get it.
Good luck on on the organization of your kids' things. That's definitely a hard job.

It feels good to get organized and purge!
That's a clever idea to stitch the buttons that way - I must remember that! Won't that look good with the Button Bits set with some of the buttons - especially the bird - kinda gives it a wing without the extra stamped wing piece!
And yes, for us gals that didn't get Floral Fusion - we can sub our other PT floral sets and use the same ideas!
Thanks for sharing!

So lovely! I do love the square stamped over the floral to mirror the squares of paper in the background. The stitching on the buttons is so pretty and I am so all over the pearl embellishments on the flowers. Yes, so nice!

Lisa,
You have subtley inked a shadow arround the edge of your cardstock. Just like in the card below you did with the single chair in a neutral circle, on kraft base, with a strip of ribbon covered in buttons, the PP edge was punched with a lace edge. What I want to know is your technique? I have been trying sponge dobbing, rubbing off on scrap then rubbing my card. But I can't get it that subtle! I hope you will share your knowledge with the ink inept!
