It's here! July Papertrey Ink previews are here!!! I can't tell you how excited I am to be sharing this month! These newest sets have been something I've been anxious to share for SO long! They have also put me though a few trials. The files were corrupted several times and I spent triple the hours on recovering and re-illustrating it. Beth was the most amazing help with the last file corruption and saved the day! THANKS BETHIE!!! If not for her, I would have had to start from square one! *sigh of relief!* Anyhow... they are here and well worth the wait and effort... I LOVE THESE SETS!
Here we go...
On My Couch (set of 30 images and will be $24) is a quaint and quirky couch themed stamp set with so many creative possibilities! You can use the images individually or to create a scene. The line drawn couch and chair allows for you to color in your image or paper piece it using your favorite pattern paper or you can combine it with one of the solid/patterned couch and chair images. Included are punny and warm sentiments that inspire friendship and encouragement. This set coordinates with the On My Couch Additions (Set of 12 images and will be $15) stamp set and boy oh boy are you gonna love them BOTH! I'll be sharing artwork with you for the next 5 days using both sets! Sets will be available for purchase July 15th through Papertrey Ink!
On to the projects...
I spent several hours stamping with these sets and my favorite thing so far is combining the throw pillows with the different couch and chairs. There are 2 styles of pillows (seen here) with both solid and lined images. This couch and chair images come in solid patterns and an outline... and they can be used separately or together. So many looks are possible!
I love how the line images look when paper pieced with pattern paper! I created a little room like scene here using up a piece of scrap paper left over from a Spots & Dots project. Makes great looking wallpaper huh!
One of the funnest aspects of illustrating On My Couch and On My Couch additions was coming up with fun sentiments!
I know that I hear myself and other say how they need a "couch day" often. That got me thinking of being a couch potato. I giggled and typed out "Potato Optional."... I thought it was perfect for this set. It means that you can relax without feeling like you are a couch potato. We CAN take a couch day... it's OK!!! Now... I tend to LOVE being on my couch... so I take the potato option occasionally... and that's OK too! LOL!
Notice the pattern in this couch? Yep... it's a polka dot couch! I LOVE this particular pattern and want a couch just like it! (did I mention that the couch image IS my couch? Mine is the exact shape, with swirls and is an artichoke color.)
I think that this is a great card for someone who needs a break. You could create a little coupon for them to take their kids or something fun like that.
I can't wait to hear your first impression of On My Couch and On My Couch additions! What can you see making with the sets? Oh man... just wait until you see what the DT has created with them!!!
Lauren, Dawn and Nichole have some wonderful Papertrey Projects to share today... make sure you visit their blogs too! Catherine is the Template guest designer this month... you have to check out her project!
See you tomorrow... I'll have more to share using On My Couch and On My Couch additions! Thanks for poppy-ing by!

Sounds like we have similar couches. I wish I could convince my dh that we need a red couch. I know he wouldn't go for polka dots, but I can dream of red at least. Such a cute concept for your newest stamps!

You had me at couch!!!! I have been searching for a couch stamp for the past 9 years. My husband and I have taught a parenting class for the past 13 years and one of the practical applications we encourage couples to develop in their marriages is something called "Couch Time". Couch Time is simply spending uninterrupted time (5-20+ minutes) on the couch talking to one another on a daily basis in order to develop a safe and secure environment in your children's hearts and minds. I have always wanted a couch stamp to send notecards to the couples who have taken our class to remind and encourage them to continue with Couch Time even after the class is over. Thank you, Lisa, for making my Couch stamp a reality!!!!!!! P.S. Sorry for the novel but I'm soooo excited!!! :)
