I hope everyone had a fantastic Mother's day! Mine was lovely... flowers, candy, hugs and kisses! What more could a woman want!
Thanks for all your lovely comments on my last post! (((hugs))) I thought I would share a few non-patriotic projects using Let Freedom Ring today! (this set goes on sale May 15th through Papertrey Ink) You can also see this post for some background use of the set. :)
If you are a regular reader then you know I have 4 daughters.... yes, we have a girly house! Pink is fairly popular for my girls as far as gifts and giving...so I thought I would start with that!
You will notice a few new images with this project... the happy sentiment, birthday sentiment, and the stripe star circle. That circle image is fun because you can turn it to make the stripes be diagonal or horizontal! (take note that the next card uses it in the opposite diagonal!) The star is punched out using the Clever Lever Jumbo Star punch (small green) from Marvy!
Hand stamped Nuggets have been around for a very long time now and they newer grow old to me... or people that I give them to. I thought it would be fun to make a treat bag with lots of nuggets.
I stamped a whole sheet of labels with the stripe image and the star cluster image overlapping each other in a diagonal pattern.
Isn't that sparkly button COOL!!! That's a Papertrey Sweet Blush button... I LOVE IT!!!
Now a manly card...
You see the addition of the Star Cluster Circle and the rim of another image I will be showing tomorrow. :)
One fun thing with this particular stripe image is creating plaid! Let me just say ... I've been playing with plaid for days now!
I also added some stripes on the card base corners to help the eye draw closer to the focal images.
I wanted to make sure to note that I used two different circle punches to punch out these two projects. The first uses Marvy's Circle Punch (yellow) and this last card uses SU's 1 5/8th inch circle punch layered with the Marvy circle. I wanted to show how versitile the circle size is. I don't have any nestibilities but I'm taking a guess that they have sizes that will work too!
So you can see from today's post... Let Freedom Ring is pretty versatile! You will see even more of that tomorrow too! I can't wait to share!
What can YOU see making with this set so far???

I love both cards - especially the masculine one. Being non-American I was curious about how this set would work and so far it seems far more versatile than any other patriotic set I've seen. Looking forward to seeing more.

I love how you used the stripes to make the plaid for the candy - very fun!

Nice---more is better when it comes to star stamps!

I love it when stamps can be versatile and this set definitely is! With things tight in the economy today, I prefer to get a stamp set that can be used in more ways than one and you nailed this one Lisa!
I love plaids. Always have. Because we have a huge 4th of July celebration in our tiny village (population 67ish, but hundreds and even thousand or more on that one day), I would use this set for making lots of party ideas (we have a BBQ at our home a mile from the village) and invites.
I love how this can be masculine! I have DH, 2 sons, dad, 4 brothers, FIL, BILs, you get the picture. Ü
I love making nugget boxes too and agree that the recipients love them as well.

Very nice cards.

I love your new set! And the plaid is genius! Just a question: I saw you used the Marvy star punch for the star in your set. Does the Marvy star punch also work for the Star Prints set? (because you know I already have the Marvy punches :) Thanks Lisa!

Neat ideas for using a star stamp. I always have trouble "feminizing" them.
