Today I get to kick off the 5 day countdown for my newest stamps set... I'm elated you are joining me! I've been working frantically to create this past week... just for you!
Background Basics: Spots & Dots is a great background building set that will be release on April 15th through Papertrey Ink... and it will have you seeing spots... in a good way of course! It will retail for $15 and includes 9 images. There is a TON about this set that will surprise you... It's very interactive and versatile.
Here are some simple projects I want to share today...
With this card I am using 4 different images from the set... There is a Spots & Dots solid "X" (top hibiscus), the for dot solid large (Summer Sunrise top), the Small Multi-strip and the Large Multi-strip on the bottom. Notice that tag in the middle? Yes... that's a coordinating tag that that I created last year that is in the Holiday Tags collection, which many of you have already purchased... so is the sentiment! I love making Holiday sets versatile!
What's fun about Background Basics: Spots & Dots is how all the images can go together whether it be a a coordination element or even some 2 step stamping... which I will show tomorrow.
I think the rare warm spring day we were having when I made this made me think of ice cream... Rainbow Sherbet to be honest. LOL! Which led to this card...
I broke out Love Songs to play with my little ice cream cone. I used the Solid Spots & Dots strip (that is two rows repeat stamped), Dots & Spots outline X, and the solid and outline four dot images.
The elements are really easy to align too! and think about the color choices with the outline and solid images!
I'm SO excited about this set and what I've come up with to share with you this week!
I'd love to hear your first impressions too! What other sets can you see yourself using with Background Basics: Spots & Dots?
Let me know what you think... and make sure to come back tomorrow for another peek! Don't forget to check out Nichole's, Lauren's, Pine's and Dawn's Blog for their sneak peeks! AND... a HUGE Welcome to Kelly as she joins the PTI crew as the Distinguished Designer for the next few months as well as joining the template team!
Thanks for poppy-ing by!

I have been loving the various PTI background sets, and this doesn't look to be any different. I can see how useful this would be, how to combine it with stuff I already have, and I like the idea of what looks like two different sizes of the same image styles. Great work again!

Oh WOW Lisa! I really like this one! The options are ENDLESS! You and the PTI team are wrecking my budget! Lol! TFS!

I love your cards and the colors you used! I can't wait to see all you do with this set.
I love the designs that can be used to make your own patterned paper. With the economy as it is, this is going to be a wonderful way to get background papers that can be stamped on white (or colored) papers.
