Yes! It's the 1st of the month and I love it! I find it to be so inspiring to see what the other Papertrey Ink Senior Design Team members come up with! We are all so different in how our creativity comes together and I love that! I hope this month Challenge will inspire you to make gift card giving more warm and personal! I know that many times it's the only option I have and I really want it to feel special!
I thought it would be "warm" to create a felt gift bag for the gift card! It's really very simple... I cut a strip of felt about an inch wider than the selected gift card and make sure it's long enough to fold over and have a flap closure. I chose to sew mine closed however Fabric Glue of Hot Glue would be a feasible non-sewing choice.
The handle is attached by hand with a single stitch that I did over and over again. I also stamped some snowflakes from Snowflake Serenade in pigment ink and added Stickles Stardust to them.
I then used Heather's Snowfall stamp set to create the design elements. Lots of glitter... I wish you could see the sparkle. The White Shimmer Cardstock is perfect for this .... as is the Silver Collection ribbon that Papertrey Ink carries! My thought is that this would hang on the tree until Christmas Morning!
Check out the rest of the fun project from the Papertrey Sr. DT for some Phenomenal inspiration!
Such a wonderful idea! Now where is that felt that's been hanging around for a couple of years?

What a super cute project!! I'm sad though that your feed through Google reader has changed to a partial feed - rather than a full feed.

This is great. I love it. So many times we get caught up in the "card-making" theme that we forget there are other ways we can use our stamps and creativity. TFS!!!

Just love this felt holder. The felt is so plush and you can almost "feel" how soft it is just by looking at the picture. Where do you get that nice plush felt? I have some, but the nap on mine is not as cozy looking! Great work!
