I'm just getting into the swing of it all after my nice weekend with my Husband.... I thought I would post the photos from my Papertrey September Ink 08 gallery while I catch my breath! LOL!
I LOVE Rustic Snowflakes! Such a great set...It's Pineriffic! Pine did such a fantastic job! I remember the 1st time I got a peek of the set... I just said Awwwwwe.... SO Sweet!
I wanted to create a lot of gift bag or containers this month... in preparation for the upcoming months... Now I have this SUPER fun bag ready for any treat.... homemade if I have time... and if not... a quick trip to the store will ease my burden! :)
Every year we try to go caroling...We usually sing traditional Hymns. I'm making one for each child this year... and maybe a few extras for friends. I also want to encourage the older girls (13 and 15) to go with their friends independently. We have an abundance of retirement homes here and it's a great opportunity to share the Christmas spirit!
A few notes about compiling this little book. I double scored the center..closely side by side t make the book more pliable. I then sewed down the seam BEFORE adhering it to the book cover. I used Tacky tape/strip to then bind it to the cover. It stick pretty well. The cover is scored down the sides of the center to Square off the binding edge. In other words... there is a real "book" look when it's closed VS. a "booklet"
Merry & Bright-
I'm loving this set so much... it's just lovely! I wanted to show it's versatility and make two projects that were completely and utterly different.
I used Copic Markersto color both images in this project and in the next. I'm really loving them... I think I need a few more colors though. :) I broke out my Marvy Punches to add te coordinating circles... I love Marvy!
The first time I saw this set I thought of my Adirondack sweaters... my German style wool ones that itch but I love. This is my interpretation f that!
Made of Snow: I LOVE snowmen... seriously, How could anyone who grew up in Alaska NOT?!?!? LOL! I put my Copic markers to the test with this one... its all layered with Copics. *shock* I wish the picture captured the shading better. I made this to coordinate with the Cookie Jar... a gift ready to go now!!! (Whohoo)
This is the Jar.. filled with a cookie mix that I got from Pier 1... it's directions are trimmed and adhered to the back. The cookie cutter on the inside was a fun touch I thought... I personally would be giddy, just 'cause I like cookie cutters!
Home for the Holidays: What a fun addition. I loved trimming all the little extra's... and Marker-ink the daylights outta the image! LOL! I think I'm starting to "get the hang of it" with Copic... a little. :)
Well... off to finish a few projects...and kiss the girls goodnight. I hope you get a chance to check out the entire gallery over at Papertrey Ink... Oooo... Sooo good! The ladies....everything is so pretty! *Feels so lucky*
I love everything. I really wish I had gotten the house set previous so that I can use the additions set for the holidays. I do have the snowman on the way though.
Holy cow!!! You are from Alaska??? DH and I lived in Alaska for 5 years and LOVED it. We so want to move back.

Lisa, your Hymn book is awesome. Great idea for family and friends to use while caroling. I think a set of 5-6 of these tied up with pretty ribbon would be a great gift to give so that others can go caroling as well. I have to make some of these for my family and friends. Great projects!

Oh my goodness, these projects are all totally adorable. The merry and bright bag is adorable, love the colors you used. The snowman set is to die for. Amazing copic work! What are you talking about, getting the hang of it, they're stunning. How did you do the glitter n yoru house, is it a blue pad? Hmmm. In any case it looks perfect! Can't wait for my latest PTI sets to come! ;-)
