It's been a crazy, crazy busy week but I wanted to make sure to post these before I kept going with everything. :) Here are my Papertrey Ink contributions for this month that you haven't seen yet.
Love that I can create so m any things with these products!
Layering these flowers is really fun... the bling felt natural to add to this too.
Heather knocks it out of the park again. The whimsy of this set is so sweet and versatile.
Too much need in my life for a stamp set like this.
Tag-its #9
Elegant fonts and images in this set make for great holiday tags and focal points.
I thought this flower really lent itself to a fall feeling. Made this bag for Hannah's 17th that's on Monday.
I can see me having a lot of fun with these in the near future!
Well, that's all for this month! Supplies are posted in my PTI gallery. Let me know if you have any questions!

It's time for yet another Papertrey Ink group post! Aren't these fun! Today we are showcasing the new 2011 Holiday Tags set as well as the Wonderful Words: Holiday stamp set and dies! Nichole did a beautiful job designing both sets and dies.
My first project is a bright and modern card.
When I first saw this Let It Snow tag image I thought of a stained glass window... so that's what I created. Copic Markers were perfect for creating this.
I stamped the background with BB: Christmas and the sentiment is from the new Wonderful Words: Holiday.
Next is a tag using a different image from the set! I used the new Tag Sale die with it too.
Little Crystal berries add some fun too!I was thinking about Chris's Mom, rest her soul, and her beautiful pink and red Christmas decorations. That's what inspired this little tag. She always had such a sweet elegance. I miss her.
Well, those are my two offerings for today. I hope something has brought you a little inspiration. Here are the links to the other DT blogs... ohhh... there are some really pretty projects that they are sharing!
Don't forget... everything will be available at Papertrey Ink starting tomorrow, Oct. 15th!

It's group post day at Papertrey Ink and today we are all showcasing projects using the new In The Meadow stamp set designed by Nichole. I have to admit... I sort of fell in love with this set and just could not stop creating. So... instead of putting some aside for publications or future blog posts... I thought I would just share them all tonight! It's SUCH a pretty and sweet set!
First, a little simple card that showcases the little snowman die.
He is so sweet huh! I enjoyed adding the little scarf and "coal" bling buttons.
There is a fun snowflake cluster in the set that makes it easy to create a snowfall scene.
The font combinations in the set are very warm and endearing too.
And... isn't that little bird sweet!
This next card really was fun to create.
I sort of woke up this morning with it pictured in my head.It changed a little as I went through the creative process... but it's close to what popped inti my head. (Ok... seriously... bells are so fun to add to cards! It's like adding a little soundtrack! feels SO festive too!)
I love this little sledding child image. It's so fitting to some of what we look forward to during the season. I broke out my chunky plastic glitter for this one.
This next card is a clean and simple one.
I created a snow flurry in the background and then added the snowdrift die cuts over it.
The glitter on the drifts is applied after using a zig 2-way glue pen... chisel tip.
One last quit and cutie... a gift card holder.
I kept the front pretty simple with just a flourish image and some faux stitching.
(Click on this to see it in more detail.) The snowman is so happy looking in his little night time scene. Yes... that's not a real gift card... but it brings to mind that you could also put other things in there... cash, photos... friend/mom/dad coupons. Lots of possibilities!Again... loving these sentiments! They are so warm and sweet.
So... want to see more of this wonderful stamp set? here are the links to the other DT member blogs!
Make sure to come back tomorrow for another group post!
Thanks for poppying by friend!

Today I get to share a few sneak peeks from Papertrey Ink's October 2011 release.
This first card is inspired by a warm desert sunset...I imagine that the wise men would have experienced that during their travels.
I know this isn't even close to traditional Christmas colors but it is fun to mix it up and this color scheme sets a nostalgic feel for me.
The circular focal image is from Star of Wonder. A really great nativity based set by Dawn McVey. It has really lovely sentiments in addition to the three circle images included. Nativity Silhouettes Additions has this camel and the palm trees as well as the sentiment shown on this card. Are you getting that desert feel? Notice the "sand dunes"? That's one of the "snow drift" dies that you might have already seen. It's so nice to not have to try to replicate the perfect curve... now the die does all of the thinking for me!
Speaking of dies...Have you seen the new Gift Card Greetings die that I designed? I'm so excited about this! (Nichole introduced it yesterday HERE.) It's so easy to use and is already coming in handy. I give a lot of gift cards and am always trying to figure out a way to make them feel more personal. I'm just over the moon about how well this die turned out! Here is a holder using the sheep from Nativity Silhouettes. They are so darling!
(Click on any of these images to see them in more detail.)
The heart is from Just for You and the leaves are from the new Faith & Hopes set.
I really wanted to have the inside be able to be stamped easily when I thought of this die. It's functional and easy to stamp. I used the Inside & Out: Baby sentiments for the front and inside.
I have a friend who is about ready to have a baby. I'm excited to have this ready to go... just waiting for that gift card!
Here is one with another focal circle from Star of Wonder. Simple, yes... but simple really is OK!
I used the die to die cut the pattern paper to line the inside flap. The sentiment is from Christmas Blessings.
Here's another one using more of the Nativity Silhouettes. Straight and simple stamping.
I can mass produce these quite easily too. I'm planning on giving several simply stamped gift card holders this Christmas.
The sentiment says "May your Christmas be blessed"... that's from the Star of Wonder set and I love it!
This last card uses more images from Nativity Silhouettes and Star of Wonder.
I used Copic Markers with this one as well as the first card I shared to color in the focal circles.
It's a little more artsy than I usually create but I was going for the glowing effect of the baby and around the star.
Well, that's it for all my projects for today. I hope you've gotten to know these sets and dies a little more!
Nichole has more sneak peeks using these sets on her blog too. Dawn,Maile, Tiffany, Heather, Melissa, and Beth also should have peeks!
Let me know if you have any questions. I'll answer them in the comment section of this post.

Hi All! I have another Make it Monday video up... Faux Watercoloring! It's an oldie... but goodie. :)
It's fun to play with some of Papertrey Ink's new inks too. The work pretty well for this technique. And... they are SO crisp with clear stamps! I'm in LOVE!
BTW... supplies are listed at the end of the video. :)
One really fun thing you can do with this technique is to stamp some of the images for your kids and let them "watercolor" them! It's a great way to involve those sweeties in your crafting life. It's always great to have fun with the kids!
See Nichole's post here for all of the details and the link list to play along.
On a personal note... I've been hunkering down with sick kiddos and hubby this past week or so. Man... our poor little town has been just slammed with a few bugs that have hit hard, one after another. It's been crazy! I must admit that I am enjoying some of the one on one time as they rotate through the icky stuff. I've been working on an upcoming ladies activity for our church. I'm so excited about it. One hour bread... and some wonderful recipe presenters and demonstrators. I've made 8 loaves in just a week. My kids are inhaling it too! If you are in the area and want to come, email me and I'll send you the info. It's going to be a blast!
Well... I'm off to bed so that I can take care of my little fever bug, Ella tomorrow. Don't forget to donate to Katie if you are intending to do so. (Se my previous post if you don't know what I'm talking about.)

From October 10-12 some of the best stampers are joining together to support and encourage our friend and fellow stamper, Katie Renz, who is currently battling inoperable gastric cancer. If you're not familiar with her, Katie’s cancer story started just before Christmas last year. This young, beautiful, healthy, vibrant mother of 3 with her infectious smile was suddenly diagnosed with an inoperable cancer, virtually overnight. A few tummy aches and then stage 4 gastric cancer. Her first post about it is here. The idea of “Swimming for Katie” came from her recent post here.
Here is my little contribution to the hop! I LOVE Katie and am glad to be able to participate. She is such a fantastic person... I feel blessed to know her!
I kept the card pretty simple because I wanted the Katie image to stand out. I used Copic Markers to color it in. A 0 blender was used to add the dots.
Little googly eyes change the look of this image pretty easily.
This exclusive stamp used in my sample, designed by Becky Oehlers is available as a clear stamp, as well as a digis or a dig and SVG cut file. 100% of the profits go to Katie's fund to help her and her young family. Her husband Kevin and her three young children need our help and support. In addition to the Keep Swimming Octopus, Marianne Walker and True =D Doodle Designs both also donated digis that are for sale. Direct donations are also being accepted. Information central is HERE. This is a permanent page that will stay active at i {heart} papers with current information and the full 3 day blog hop listing, as well as the donation button.
Here are all the items available for sale.

It's Papertrey Ink Sr. DT challenge day!!! Holy cow... it's October too... how very strange that is to me. Time is evaporating at an astounding rate this year.Well, this month we are all sharing banners using the big Banner Builder dies! I was excited about this challenge... because I was ready to make some Christmas decorations!
Every year my children look forward to marking the days on my little Christmas countdown that I made several years back. I thought it was time to create a new one that would fit with my living room Christmas decor. I was excited when the idea to do a banner with a countdown element popped into my head!
Here's by little banner!
I used both of the Triangle Banner dies and the Banner Borders die. I wanted something that would be around for my grandchildren to see... so I used felt for most everything.. There is a lot of brown and green in my living room so I made sure that those were strong elements. Here are all the banner sections...
The center. Also the countdown element. I'll show how that works at the end of the post.I used fillable frames #4 die as well as the scalloped circle from Love at home and Holly Jolly dies. I used the largest button die to cut the center circle from the white felt. There is some cut overlap on it, but it's covered by the holly... which I planned.
This tree shows the Love Lives Here: Holiday tree die and Harvest Berries die for the bulbs.
Peace be still snowflake die, Button die and the heart from the butterfly in the Love Lives Here collection.
Same heart for this one.. as well as the Love Lives Here: Holiday Mitten die.
Lastly, the present from the Make a Wish collection and another button die.
I used these little altered tacks to hang it up... it ties in so nicely! Hot glue, I tell ya!
OK, here is a close up of the countdown element of the banner. This took me a little to work out how I wanted to do it. Hopefully it will make sense to you too.
I die cut the frame from both the felt and clear acetate sheet, clear cardstock. Then die cut the circle and white circle element. I used hot glue to adhere everything together. Next I hot glued foam squares to the back of that frame, creating a gutter or slot for the cardstock pieces to slid into... and bee seen through the window. Hot glue was my best friend for this project!
I could see some of the foam from the back... and that bugged me. I also had to figure out a realistic place to store the other papers. So, I die cut another felt frame and punched holes on the top and bottom, put some Bakers twine through it and hot glued it to the back. (No more ugly foam showing!) You can see how I tied the papers to the banner. I might get a little elastic to add later, but this was what I had on had and It really works well.
Isn't this all SO fun! I feel SO blessed to be able to work with Papertrey Ink...such a top notch company! I love that as a designer, I get to use the best quality of products out there that are also fresh and innovative. Also, I get to work along side the best designers in the industry! These women are genuine to the core and I love every one of them! Check out some of their outstanding banner projects!
It's a "fill your soul" kind of weekend. I hope you will find something that will fill your soul with what it needs, that you will feel lifted up and loved by someone this weekend. That's my hope for all of us!
Please feel free to ask any questions. I'll do my best to answer them in the comments section. Thanks for poppying by friends!

We just had a church conference and one of the speakers, President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, shared a wonderful comparison using the forget-me-not as the basis of the talk. It's so neat! (Here it is if you are interested.)
I was having some fun yesterday, creating these little Forget-me-not bookmarks for a few friends of mine to remind them of that talk and a few other things. I thought I would quickly share them here on my blog. These are for girlfriends from church that I get to visit teach each month.
I didn't have any actual Forget-me-not flowers in my stamping selection so I had to come up with my own version of them.
I used the flower from Just For You and the sentiment from Heavenly Medley stamp sets. Paper punched white flowers and stamped and then frosted.(see last week's video on this.) I also used a copic marker to outline the flowers to add dimension. The die is actually one of the Half & Half Dies.
It was great to visit with my friends and share these with them. To let them know that I don't forget them and ask them to not forget that I am here for them in addition to the great concepts that they already heard in the conference!
I hope you all have been touched and inspired my something recently too!

I have a new Make It Monday video up today show how to create "frosted images".
Here is a photo of the card...
The detail photo. I'm excited to play with this concept even more!
Let me know if you have any questions!
I hope you will play along! Here is the link to the post on Nichole's blog to see where you can add the link to your projects! I really love this technique. Please let me know if you've seen it before... I'd love to see other examples of it that are out there!
Thanks for poppying by friends!
p.s. thank you to all who commented on my last post! I'm so excited that you loved the frame so much!

I've been collecting vintage game goodies for the past few years for my family room. I love the bright, retro feeling that my room is starting to have because of all the little game pieces and boards that decorate the room. I have an original Yatzee board/game, Dominos from the mid 50's and one of the early Scrabble games that's from 1948. I've been having a blast adding the tiles to the front of photo frames... just laying them on the ledges, it's a snap. I add words like Family in a wedding frame... sweet girl in a frame with Hannah and BYU in one for Alex. I also have the Scrabble trays holding words like love, eternal and in front of an Alex photo... the word missed. I thought it would be fun to create a vintage game inspired frame... and show you how to make your own aged Scrabble like pieces to add to your projects!
Start by painting the unfinished frame. I used a light cream color... but you really can use any color that you will want to have show through a little when all is finished.
After that has dried, paint the top coat. I chose black.
The reason for the two different colors is that when I do the next step little striations from sanding will reveal the bottom color. This is a really fun thing to experiment with too. I once painted purple below black for a Halloween project. That looked really cool!
I wanted to show you a photo of a the start of the sanding process and the block I used for this.
I like a course sanding block because I want a harder tooth for sanding so that I can see those striations. You can see what I'm talking about here. (Click on any photo to make it larger.) Don't sand too much yet though because you will sand more later.
Next, I stamped images from Boy Basics: Simple Circles in red, citrus green, Aqua and antique white.
After giving it ample time to dry I sanded the frame again as well as added some aging with my synthetic sponge and a little Dark Chocolate ink. You can see a touch of that in the next photo.
Now... to create the faux scrabble tiles. I die cut Papertrey Ink coasters using the smallest square image from the Make a Wish die collection. I stamped the soon to be tile with the circle image from Modern Wood Mats in Summer Sunrise Ink. Then I stamped the letter from Fresh Alphabet and the number from Simple Alphabet.
Next, I Sponged the tile with Dark Chocolate ink.
The combination of the two colors and the pattern creates the wood style letters!I also sealed the tiles with Krylon Clear Acrylic spray. This just helps it to hold up over time a little better. (I also sprayed the frame and stars that will come next.)
I used the same technique to create the die cute stars (from the Seeing Stars collection) too... so they appear wood-like. Then I stamped the stars in paint using the Star Prints images.
Here is a close up of those Faux Scrabble Tiles. You can also see the aging on the frame with the two paint layers.
I'm really excited about creating additional pieces to go in this room!
Here is the finished project at home on my book shelf!
It's very cheery and warm feeling. The dominoes are from my vintage stash and the dice are from that Yatzee game. Not sure they are original... but they are definitely aged with the great cracks and such. I also have a vintage... very retro movie camera... that still works and has film left in it! Such a find. If you are ever in Anacortes I'll take you to the best place ever to find vintage goodies. The camera was $3 and all the games were $1 each! I can't find them online for anywhere close to that!
I hope you've enjoyed learning a little about how to create this project. Feel free to post any questions in the comment section and I will answer them in that same section. :)

Welcome back to my sneak peeks for Christmas Labels and Christmas Blessings! Today is also group post day at Papertrey Ink... so I've got projects to share using Holiday Photo Finishers too!
First off ... a Christmas Photo card!
I know this is a casual photo but It's nearly impossible to get a photo of us all together. Plus, I do love the feeling of togetherness it portrays.
Holiday Photo Finishers has elegant sentiments and images. There are several mini flourishes in the set that are very complementary to other sets too. Check out this beautiful die too... so classic and elegant!
The inside is simply stamped with two different sentiment from Christmas Blessings.
This next card shows a different die shape for the sentiment as well as a delicate flourish image.
I used Background Basics: Christmas to stamp the bottom... and Christmas Blessings for the sentiment.
The inside uses the same frame image as well as flourish along with another sentiment from Christmas Blessings.
Maile has a darling new set this month too...Bells & Boughs. I instantly though of a time I heard "Joy to The World" done with bells and just had to create this card.
I'm not a huge lover of gold... but it seemed appropriate for this card.
It's hard to tell, but there is a little shimmer on the bell too.
This last card is a simple one too.
The oval image from Christmas Labels is stamped first then the sentiment from Christmas Blessings is stamped over it. The new Holly Jolly die is a great little complement for the set.
I also scored the bottom a little.
Well, that concludes today's post. I've enjoyed sharing projects this week with Christmas Labels and Christmas Blessing... as well as the other Papertrey Ink stamps I used. I hope that you've gotten some inspiration from something that's been shared. I appreciate all the comments that were shared over these past five days too... thank you for taking your time to share your thoughts! Don't forget that these sets will be available at Papertrey Ink starting tomorrow, Sept. 15th!
Here are links to the other ladies for their group posts! They are amazing!

Welcome to day four of my sneak peeks for my newest POPPYprints stamps sets, Christmas Labels and Christmas Blessing! They will be available through Papertrey Ink starting Sept. 15th.It's been a great past three days too! Thanks to all who left so many kind comments... I appreciate you!
Today Nichole and Michelle are sharing some projects with Christmas Labels... so don't forget to head over there when you finish here.
One thing that I envisioned when designing this frame was being able to die cut sticker sheets to make sticker labels. These make it easy to make and give quick gift at Christmas time. I'm thinking teacher gift... filling these bags with various things. Right now I've got pistachios... which as a great Christmas nut, being that they are green! LOL!
These would be easy for the kids to assemble too... which I always love because they always want to help. It's a very fun activity for us to do together! The Medium Glassine bags are perfect with the Christmas Label width too!!!
I bet you could think of a few other yummy things to put in these bags! Each one has it's own little bow decoration. Oh... I wanted to point out how well the stitched frame works with the solid frame image. I love it when a plan comes together! (what movies is that from? LOL!)
Papertrey ink tins are super convenient and allow for quick and easy gifting. I always make sure I have some on hand.
A little stamping with the Christmas Labels stamp set and die is all that's needed.
I didn't even need adhesive. I just used the ribbon to tie it onto the tin. I did use a little score tape for the silver snowflake though. :)
Next is a card I created showing the stitched label image from Christmas Labels as well as the scrip Merry Christmas from Christmas Blessings.
I also used Heather's new tag-its set on the snowflake's center.
There are really a lot of possibilities with this "Merry Christmas" sentiment.
I like it when it's embossed too. (By the way... this is the same font I used in Peaceful Garden too.)
Next a card I created using Christmas Blessings and Tiffany's new Winter Cheer set.
I used White Embossing powder to emboss the snowflake image then punched them out. Super easy and mass producible.
I love bright colors together like this... makes me think of happy... which is why I chose the Rejoice sentiment to go with it!
I wanted classic fonts that would go with everything when I created Christmas Blessings. I am so glad I went that route... I can see using them for years to come.
Michelle Wooderson and Nichole have a few projects using Christmas Labels today. Want more Papertrey Ink sneak peeks? Head over to these ladies blogs... they have more to share!
Tomorrow will wrap up the sneak peeks for Christmas Labels and Christmas Blessings. Hope you'll drop by!

Today marks the first group post for this month's Papertrey Ink countdown! (And my wedding anniversary! Love you, Chris!) We are all so excited to share project with you using my friend, Melissa Philips, concept stamp set...Love Lives Here: Holiday! It's such a sweet and heartfelt Christmas set. I love the folk art feeling of the images as well as the sentiments that speak to the soul. I've created a few fun project using this sweet set... and I just can't seem to put it down still! I'm also sharing more with Christmas Blessings and Christmas Labels..
This first card shows the angel from Love Lives Here: Holiday as well as a sentiment from the set. The frame is from Christmas Labels. I really like dark blue with red and kraft colors for Christmas. It's slightly un-traditional but still warm and cozy feeling.
You can see both of the new Mat Stack 2 "Layerz" ($6) and "Mega" ($14) dies as well as the Christmas Label die ($6) used with the sentiment.
I was excited to see that there were angel dies to go with this sweet angel image too. She is so sweet.
I made her wings silver and used some silver ribbon to tie it all together.
This next card is inspired by my friend who make quilts every Christmas. I started out the card by stamping the Christmas Labels stitched frame on the Kraft cardstock. Next I started stamping into the frames... starting with the sentiment first.
These little stockings are SO adorable. I used Pure Poppy Baker's twine to make them look like they were tied to the pine boughs.
This tree is so cute too. I also used Dawn's new Christmas Lights set as the string for the ornaments in the set.
I'm setting this card aside for my friend... hopefully she will love it! I also created this little towel gift using those sweet stockings.
I have a few homemade Christmas towels that friends have gifted me over the years... and they always bring a smile to my face. I bought this one at Ikea and it was really easily stamped on. Not sure if they still have them, but I'll check the next time I'm there.
I was really excited when Nichole told me that my Mat Stack 2 die would be turned into a Layerz and Mega version! This way to package with the Mat Stack Mega is one of those very reasons. I love that I can do some simple stamping and it all comes together because of the curvy frame shape.
I embossed the sentiment from Christmas Blessings in white embossing powder to really help that sentiment stand out. I can actually see making these for a bunch of my friends this year!
This next card is more simple... but I love the thought it portrays.
The sentiment is from Christmas Blessings. I used the angel image again because I thought it went so well with the sentiment.
I kept the layers to a minimum... and let the sentiment form the feeling.
Little music notes were stamped to convey her singing. I think this is another mass producible card because of the limited layers.
One last card to show another of the Christmas Blessing sentiments.
It's fun how elegant the Christmas Labels from looks all by itself with the sentiment too.
I love being able to bring new live to a little older of a set. I combined it with YOF: Poinsettia.
There are several other older sets that I could use with the sentiments from Christmas Blessings. Stars, trees, music notes... there are so many possibilities!
Well, that wraps up today's post. I hope you've gotten a better sense of what Christmas Blessings, Love Lives Here: Holiday and Christmas Labels have to offer. Here are hte links to the other DT blogs... they have AMAZING things to share with you using Love Lives Here: Holiday!
Come back tomorrow for more projects using Christmas Blessings and Christmas Labels!

Welcome to day two of the sneak peeks for my newest stamp sets... and dies. :) Christmas Labels and Christmas Blessing will be release Sept. 15th. I'm sharing a few more projects today using these Christmas sets.
This first card shows a sentiment from Christmas Blessings along with a frame and oval image from Christmas Labels. The side is decorated using Dawn's new Holiday Lights set.
Icy colors have always been fun for Christmas cards. I'm enjoying this Christmas Labels frame SO much! I trimmed out the oval to pop up from the frame to get a little more dimension on the card.
I wanted a formal, winter feeling "peace love joy" sentiment for Christmas Blessings. I used Three different fonts to create it. It was a nice surprise to discover that it fit into the Christmas Labels oval too! Btw... the frame is embossed with white embossing powder for a really bright contrast.
This next card shows how easy it is to use Christmas Labels for another occasion!
Flower Frenzy #8 is my FAVORITE of the series so far. I'm not sure if Melissa meant to create poppies... but this flower is one in my book! Really fun! I also used the oval frame image to stamp the buttons... except for the one gingham one. The new edgers #4 die is really unique and adds a fun, feminine touch to this card.
I combined the sentiments from Christmas Labels with the Birthday Bash Sentiments set.
I tied them together by using the little * image from the set as the dot on the i on "birthday". I have a special friend in mind for this card too. ;)
Want more Papertrey Ink sneak peeks? Head over to these ladies blogs... they have more to share!
Tomorrow I have some of my very favorite projects to share for this month! I hope you can come back and see! Thanks to all who left comments too! It's so wonderful to hear your thoughts about these two new sets!

Hi friends! I'm sitting here enjoying a beautiful Northwest day. Summer just started showing it's face. It's amazing! The poor kids are all in school... wishing they could be home playing in the sprinkler! I'm trying to get in the Christmas spirit during this late summer wave. It's kind of funny!
Today I get to start sharing a few new POPPYprints stamp sets with you though! Christmas Labels and Christmas Blessing will be available through Papertrey Ink starting Sept. 15th.
Let me introduce them.... and share a project from each set!
Christmas Labels ($15)- A retro and stylish holiday stamp set that's perfect for those fun and upbeat holiday projects. The set features three frame shapes that work separately as well as together! There are three fun and funky larger sentiments as well as six interchangeable smaller and bold sentiments that tie everything together. There is also one tiny decorative image. The sentiments are versatile, as well as the frames that also work well for everyday occasions, birthday and gift giving in general! Because this set has a coordinating frame die, creating card, scrap pages, packaging and even tags is a breeze.
So here is a Little peek of this fun set to start out! I've created a card using Christmas Labels as the focal point and am using Dawn's new Candy Cane Christmas set too!
Christmas Labels has this fun frame that works so great with many styles. I wanted bright and cheery for this card. I pulled out my Sugar Plum paper to use as the background. The cup and canes are from Dawn's Candy Cane Christmas set. Darling huh!
I really love creating for Christmas. I was digging in my embellishment drawer and discovered a few "lost" treasures from a craft store run I did last year. I bought a whole bag of these cute colored bells. They are so easy to add too. I also found my chunky, plastic glitter! Looks like sugar on projects. So fun to use.
I have actually been having a hard time getting my other project done this month because I don't want to put this frame set away. I really is fun to play with!
The next set I want to introduce is Christmas Blessings!
Christmas Blessings ($15)-A lovely and elegant faith based Christmas sentiment set. It features several font combinations that stand well alone as well as complimenting other Christmas images. Many of the sentiments work on the inside of cards as well. Christmas Blessings is all about remembering the reason for the season.
Christmas is a special time in the lives of many. Our family really tries to make Christ the center of the season. We still have fun and do many playful and imaginative things... like celebrate St. Nickolaus day and secret Santa... but we really try to instill the reason why our family celebrates Christmas. When I thought about what sentiment we would want to send on a card to convey this... this sentiment came to mind...
This is an easily reproducible card too... so I would feel comfortable actually creating a big batch of these.
To me, this sentiment conveys a caring and compassion that emulates what the spirit of Christmas is all about. I combined the sentiment with the dove die and leaves image from Peace Be Still... the berries are from Harvest Berries. I'm really glad I used this sentiment in Christmas Blessings.
Well, I hope you've started to get a feeling of what these two sets hold. There is SO much more to share over the next 5 days though!
Nichole has more sneak peeks... head over to her blog to check them out. These ladies also have some peeks to share!
So glad you joined me today... thanks for poppying by friends!

Amidst the back to school hustle and bustle....some new POPPYprints sets are coming out this month!
This first one is a faith based Christmas sentiment set.
This is a non-denominational, faith based stamp set that focuses on "the reason for the season". (Like this scripture from Luke 2:14) Many of the sentiments work on the inside of cards too. I am so excited to have this set in my collection now!
This next set is totally different... I'm really enjoying retro items and decor in my own life... vintage games are slowly showing up on my shelves and all around my family room. This holiday set is all about retro, fun and happy holidays. I've been having a blast creating with it and am excited over it's versatility! It's just so happy feeling! Makes me smile!
Sneak peeks with projects start on the 10th... I hope you'll be back then to see what I've created with the sets. Nichole has more info in her blog. They will be available on Sept. 15 at Papertrey Ink.
I'm off to bed... School starts tomorrow and that makes for a really early morning here. :)

One of my favorite things about the Papertrey Ink Senior Design Team challenge is that I get a jump start on some upcoming events or holidays. Another favorite thing is seeing what my teammates create... they always inspire me!
Spooky Sweets II features some of the funnest, classic and elegant Halloween images that Papertrey has. I was exited to discover that a few of the newer dies worked so well with this set... especially with the Tag Sale #4 die!
Here's a little treat bag that I created using that tag and the beautiful frame image from Spooky Sweets II.
The outline of the image is right over the impressed area on the tag... so it isn't crisp. I like the vintage feel it lends to the overall appearance. I did add some glitter in the impressed area to embellish it a tad.
I truly enjoy the font combinations in this set. I masked this sentiment stamp with three different colors to coordinate with the patterned paper used.
I try to step out of the box with color for holidays. Plum Pudding, Smokey Shadow and Royal Velvet worked for this bag. I know purple tones aren't too out of the box for Halloween... but I usually throw in orange or green.
The top of the bag was trimmed off using the Edgers # 1 die. Just something different than just rolling it closed. I have someone in mind already for this little gift to go to. When the time comes that is.
Next, the frame from the Sending You dies used with Spooky Sweets II. This is such a great shape for so many things. I wanted to show a card using the set too.
As a cat lover, this kitty image melts my heart. look at those cute eyes. So adorable.
My girls were so cute when they saw this card. They giggled and smiled over it. I love that about paper crafting... when I can see the smiles on my daughters faces from loving something I made. No achievement in paper crafting could mean more to me.
Ok... so I bet that you want to see what the other Sr. DT members have created.... here are their blog links!
On a personal note.... the last few weeks have been a whirlwind. I flew Alex out to Provo for school... and it was so hard to get on that plane, alone, to fly home. Thank you to all who left comments on the gratitude journal post. Those meant a lot!!! Funny...A few days after I came home, the rest of us went camping for a few days at Mt. Rainier. While it was AMAZING to be there and to see all the mountain in it's glory as well as the wildflowers in full bloom... being out of contact from her with no cell reception or internet was a bit hard for me. I didn't think the timing through... or realize how worried I would be. Silly me! Guess what though... she was great, totally fine... maybe even better because of the independence... and I lived. LOL! I'm sure all you who have "been through it" are giggling at me... remembering your own experience. For those who have this to come... there isn't too much you can do to prepare yourselves in my opinion... goodness knows, I tried!
Well... have a great rest of the day! Thanks for poppying by friends!

This past June brought some exciting events to our home and changes for the future...
It's crazy to think that Alex graduated and is moving on to a new era of her life. She is headed to Provo Utah to attend Brigham Young University... we leave at the crack of dawn on Tuesday. She has worked really hard to get to where she is at... We are so proud of who she is and what she stands for!
Now what does all that have to do with today's Papertrey Ink group post? Well, we have all created something using the new Gratitude Journal stamp set... and mine is something I made special, for Alex to take to school with her. I wanted her to have a reminder of her family's love for her and a few things about her that we are grateful for!
Here is little Mini Gratitude Book I created for her...I wanted it to reflect her style a little. You can click on any photo to see more detail.I used the Button Card die to cut coasters and all other the covers and photos for this book. It's really compact, perfect for the dorm life Alex is headed to!
Chris and I are on the 1st page. It's a goofy, casual photo from our trip to Hawaii... but it's so us. very low maintenance.
We are happy for her and I wanted to portray it on the opening pages...We really are proud of her.
Each of us has an individual page grouping... and we all wrote something special that we are grateful about Alex
Ella's...
I love her little hearts... adorable!
Pepper's...
She was so creative in her big/little word combos. Adorable!
Hannah's...
She really has some neat things to say!
It was hard for me to narrow it down to five to be honest.
Her Dad's...
I love his handwriting! I know, I'm bias.
This last one is of the whole family. I wanted to remind her that even though we will be miles away... our family is always together, forever!
I'm hoping that when she is missing family or home... or just needing a pick-me-up, that she will pull this out and feel some family love! I have to admit that now that her leaving is right in front of my face, I'm having a little bit of a hard time with it. She will do great though!
OK... the other PTI DT have projects using this great set too...

Today I get to share a few sneak peeks of two new Papertrey Ink stamp sets... Harvest Berries & Modern Wood Mats! These will be available starting August 15th. They are some really great sets too!
First off... a little card with a scandinavian flair to it.
Modern Wood Mats has not only great wood style mat images, but it also has several great icon flower and doodad images.
The flower images are inked with ink cubes... super easy to do too. I used the Copic airbrush system to add color to the sentiment strip. Sugar Plum paper was used for the striped strip. I've got to admit... this card has me a bit jazzed about hitting the SLC Ikea next week while I'm dropping my oldest daughter, Alex, off at BYU!
This next card show the Mat Stack 5 die cut with the coordinating Modern Wood Mats image.
I also used the new Bloom Builders 3 flower die to embellish it.
The Turning a New Leaf die is great for this too. I actually snipped the die in half then arranged the leaves to compliment the sentiment. the flower hides the snipped area.
I can see making this card in brighter colors too.
Now to move on to some of the Harvest Berries cards.
This set features several Ginkgo leaves, berries and a large sentiment. This first card needs a little explanation. I used a lot of Copic markers and techniques with this card.
I used the coordinating die for this set to mask the stamped image and the used the Copic Airbrush System to give the image a glow. I then colored the image in with the other markers.
The sentiment in Harvest Berries is really pretty and I love the sentimentality it portrays.
I used the 0 blender marker to cut into the Air Brushed area to make everything pop the way it should.
This last card is more modern...It also shows the solid images from the set.
I also stamped the little berries for this card, in Spring Moss... then added some glitter.
The leaves are so delicate feeling to me. I really like this solid image!
Well, that wraps up what I have to share for today. I hope that you've gotten a better sense of what these great sets have to offer. Nichole, Betsy, Heather, Maile and Melissa have more sneak peeks for you tonight too... check them out!
I hope you will come back in a few days... I have a very special project to share then. :)
