Haven't this month's Papertrey Ink sneak peek been amazing?! I've been so inspired... I love it!
Today is Papertrey Ink's group post day for October and it's all about giving! We are showcasing Nichole Tiny Treats: Christmas set!
Christmas time can be extremely busy for our family. During those times I tend to buy nice treats and package them in cuteness to give to friends and neighbors. It's so easy to coordinate gift packaging with the festive wrappers that the specialty chocolates come in. I've created several treat packs to show you how fun and easy it is. (I'm glad I was able to refrain from eating my props long enough to take these photos too! LOL!)
First off... some pretty penguin cuteness packaging for my new favorite Lindor chocolates! The little sentiment circle at the top really sets the tone of the project. Can you hear the song in your head yet? :)
I die cut the new Favor It Box 2 die with Blueberry Sky paper then stamped the mitten image in VersaMark. Next I inked it with the Fresh Snow ink pad. Isn't this a great little box die! It's large enough to hold four of these chocolates too!
Mr. Penguin (OM GOSH... isn't he full of cuteness!) is colored with Copic Markers then trimmed out. I punched out a Blueberry and white circle then tore the white to create a feathered edge. Glitter is adhered to the edge with a glue pen. I'm loving the little plaid frame in Tiny Treats: Christmas with the Mat Stack 1 die too! The little bakers twine bow is topped with a harvest gold button.
Nichole put together a little breakdown on what the consumables would be for this little project too!
As you can see, it's under a dollar!
I have a few more to share today too...
Next is a little candy cane holder. I now, candy canes are a bit cliche but we still give them out, and my girls go and buy them for their friends for a special treat. A little inexpensive gift, yet thoughtful and festive.
After stamping the frame image onto the die cut I punched a hole with a circle punch that is about 1/2 in diameter. Next I doubled up my two baker's twine pieces and tied a bow around the cane through the top hole.
The center of the tag is stamped then punched out so that I could utilize the inside of the frame image. I stamped the little bird on branch image onto the tag front then stamped the bird onto Kraft cardstock and trimmed it out. I used Copic markers to color it in and a few little crystals to resemble berries.
This next treat package is very nontraditional for Christmas... my favorite kind of project. This sweet little mistletoe image from Tiny Treats Christmas is just SO adorable.
Sometimes I forget that a sentiment doesn't have to be set apart on it's own layer to be effective. I stamped the kiss-mas sentiment on a white strip and incorporated it with the patterned papers. Favor it Box 1 is a perfect coordinating packaging item for the Mat Stack 1 die, which I used to trim the patterned paper. (I used Sugar Plum, Simple Valentine and Beautiful Blooms paper.)
Here is a close up of the mistletoe image, colored with Copics and blinged up with the new 2mm Zva creative crystals (Perfect for petite projects.) The background was stamped with the sparkle Dot strip from Background Basics: Christmas.
The last treat box I made was created with a more mature person in mind. These would also be great party favors for an elegant Christmas dinner party or work party. Wouldn't this be wonderful to get in your inbox. The little snowflake image is really versatile too, I can use it for cute or elegant.
Almond Roca is a weakness of mine and I love how the wrappers are so elegant. I tend to buy them in bulk at Costco during the Christmas season to make little treats like this.
After assembling the treat box from the Pinefeather paper I started layering the patterned paper elements. I used the sparkle border punch from Marvy to create the center piece then adhered the Crystals. Next I trimmed the strips from the new patterned paper, Christmas Prints, to adhere over the edges. The snowflake is stamped, punched out and colored. The sentiment is trimmed into sections the adhered at angles. I chose to use Simply Chartreuse ribbon for the bow to tie in with the gold wrapper.
