The S.W.A.K-down is ON!
For my S.W.A.K-down project I decided I wanted to create a few things... I love interactive cards and little notes that pop out! I wanted to include something "different" and wanted a bit of a non-traditional look. Here is what I came up with.
EDIT: Card removed for publication ... will return at a later date. :)
aren't those little flowers sweet! there are a few things I wanted to point out about this card-
- the little envelope that holds the mini heart note card is actually a Papertrey Ink small glassine bag! I used my Paper Trimming buddy to trim off the top and slightly sponged it to help it stand out.
- I used several Papertrey Ink products. This challenge was not put out by PTI but since I had created the note card to go into a PTI I wanted to stay on theme. :) Products used are the small glassine envelope,Stamper's Select White Card Set, Velvet Blossoms, Mixed Messages, Faux Ribbon, Borders & Corners {Heart}.
- I created a visual triangle with the stamped heart and the two pink brads.
- I left white space to help POP out the focal image.
Now I know that I could have layered more... but this card is SIMPLE and REPRODUCIBLE. I would love to see your version of it!
Oh yes... one more little project to share for the S.W.A.K-down! I had gotten my Papertrey Heart Tins a little late so I want able to make them on time... so I wanted to share my large clear top tin today!
I created several mini heart note cards to go with this.. I mean... I already had everything out right! ;)
This fun tin can sit on my daughter's school desk to receive her valentines... or I can give it to newlyweds filled with more notes and matching pens so they can leave each other notes! *sweet*. Again... a really simple project... but a few details that might be fun to know...
- I created a slot in the middle to slip the notes in. I used a craft knife and the Making Memories Ribbon slot punch to accomplish that... it was SO easy! I punched the half moon out on each end then used the craft knife to trim a straight line joining them together! it's a snap!
- Each chipboard letter is stamped differently ... Borders & Corners {Heart} and Sweet Love both have fantastic petite images that lend themselves wonderfully to stamping on these small chipboard letters!
Whew! Let me tell ya... I really put myself to the test when I called out the S.W.A.K-down participants. I was really nervous... holy cow...(or as Ella would say "Holy Crab", LOL! Really... she says that!) YOU HAVE to check out what they have done... my mind is blown away! Check 'em out for yourself!
Thanks Ladies for participating! You totally took me down! ;)
And if YOU have joined in and posted online... link here and let us know where we can see your project!
thanks for visiting, hope you enjoyed the S.W.A.K-down!
